About Pure Electrical
01Who is Pure Electrical?
Pure Electrical is an Ascot-based electrical firm run by David, founded in 2023 and working across Berkshire and Surrey. We're NAPIT registered, OZEV-approved for EV chargers and MCS-certified for solar, and we hold 71 five-star reviews between Google and Checkatrade — every one of them five stars.
How long have you been trading?
Since 2023. It's a young firm, but the record is spotless — 44 five-star reviews on Google and 27 more on Checkatrade, 71 in total with nothing below five stars, most of them naming David directly.
Do you cover both homes and businesses?
Our main work is residential — rewires, consumer units, EICRs, EV chargers, solar and lighting for homeowners, landlords and tenants. We also cover light commercial properties for repairs and fault finding, and business EV charge point installations.
Booking & on the day
02How do I arrange a job or a quote?
Call David on 0333 050 0401, email david@pureelectrical.co.uk, or use the contact form. Your initial quote and site visit are free — David will come and look at the job properly before giving you a clear, factual price.
What are your hours?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. For anything urgent outside those hours, we offer emergency callouts at the evening rate.
Will you turn up when you say you will?
Yes — punctuality and clear communication are the things customers mention most. David keeps you informed at every step and works efficiently once on site.
Will you leave a mess?
No. Leaving the place clean and tidy comes up again and again in our reviews — customers describe David as prompt, tidy and efficient. We treat your home as we'd want ours treated.
Rates & warranty
03What are your rates?
Our standard rate is £88/hr inc. VAT for work between 8am and 6pm. Evening and emergency work between 6pm and midnight is charged at £154/hr inc. VAT. Rates are published up front — no surprises, and no upsell.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Every job carries an 18-month labour warranty, and the parts and materials we supply are warranted for five years. If something isn't right within those periods, we come back and put it right.
Is the first quote really free?
Yes — the initial quote and site visit cost you nothing. You'll get a clear price and honest guidance before you decide to go ahead.
Credentials & standards
04What does NAPIT registered mean for me?
NAPIT is a government-approved Competent Person Scheme. Because we're registered, we assess and self-certify notifiable work in your home to Building Regulations Part P — so you don't pay a separate building-control inspection fee, and you get proper certification for the work.
Are you approved to install EV chargers?
Yes — we're an OZEV-approved installer. That covers checking your incoming supply, upgrading the circuit if needed, and testing, certifying and notifying the authority once the charge point is in.
Are you certified for solar?
Yes — we're MCS-certified for solar PV. MCS is the standard that lets a solar and battery installation qualify for the recognised export and support schemes, and it means the system is designed and installed to a certified quality.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Depending on the job you'll receive a minor works certificate, an installation certificate, or an EICR. These are your written proof the work meets current BS 7671 regulations.
Services & certificates
05Do you carry out EICRs for landlords and tenants?
Yes. We carry out comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports for homeowners, landlords and tenants, with a compliant report and any findings explained clearly. We also issue landlord safety certificates with a fast turnaround.
Can you replace an old fuse box?
Yes. Consumer unit replacement is one of our core jobs — swapping an ageing fuse box for a modern unit with the RCD protection current regulations require, improving safety, compliance and capacity, then testing and certifying it.
Can you wire a garden room or outbuilding?
Yes. We install the electrical supply and full fit-out for garden rooms and outbuildings — a properly designed circuit from the house plus the lighting, power and heating the space needs, designed and certified as one job.
Do you do outdoor lighting and security cameras?
Yes. We install external lighting and the electrical supply behind CCTV and security cameras — cabling run neatly and weatherproofed, cameras and lights positioned where they work best.
